Terms of use
The agreement between you and SUNOLO. Plain language, and short enough to read.
What SUNOLO does
SUNOLO produces an alternative audio track, in a language you choose, for content that is already playing on your own device for your own personal use. It does not decrypt, record, copy, store or redistribute the video or the original audio, and it does not circumvent technical protection measures applied by the services you use.
Your account
One account, one person. Keep the password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has it. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you are responsible for what happens under your account.
Acceptable use
Do not use SUNOLO to produce translated audio for onward broadcast, publication or distribution; do not use it on content you do not have the right to watch; and do not attempt to extract, reverse engineer or resell the translation service. Automated access to this site outside the published API is not permitted.
Third-party services
The platforms you watch on have their own terms. Where a platform restricts third-party audio processing, that restriction applies and we will say so on the compatibility page rather than working around it. We are not responsible for changes a platform makes to its own service.
Hardware
SUNOLO BOX is sold with the statutory warranty applicable where you bought it, and with our own limited warranty on top. Pre-orders are refundable up to the point of dispatch.
Subscriptions and cancellation
Subscriptions renew until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access running to the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate part-periods unless the law where you live requires it.
What we do not promise
Translation is a best-effort process. Accuracy varies with accent, background noise, crosstalk and the material itself, and some things — wordplay especially — do not survive translation by anyone. We do not warrant that any particular programme, device or platform will work, which is why the compatibility checker exists.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close an account that is being used in breach of these terms, and we will tell you why unless doing so would compromise an investigation.
Changes and governing law
We will give notice of material changes by email before they take effect. The agreement is governed by the law of the jurisdiction stated in your order confirmation.
